Here are 5 reasons why you should use blogging as an online marketing tool.

Blogging is a simple way to express what is in one's mind.  The simplest way to get your piece on the net is through blogging.  No skills are necessary… an average adult can read and type, or at least click a mouse.  It’s like having a virtual piece of paper and you just write your ideas, experiences, new products, and hope that the truth behind your articles comes out and entice your reader to also try your product.
     
  2. Blogging is authentic.  In this day and age where advertising saturate our lives, we question the credibility of promoters’ claims. However, in blogs, real people share their real-life experiences, unscathed by paid advertising.  Reading blogs about first-hand product use is like talking to people about their first-hand experience.  You definitely want to buy a tried and tested product.

Blogging is free.  Blogging has been proven as a mainstream online advertising media, most sites see it as something to augment current marketing tools and thus offer it for free.   Any opportunity for free webtime is definitely a bonus especially to businesses that are starting up.  Needless to say, paid blog pages can generate more income for your seriously growing business.

Blogging builds credibility.  As you get more and more into writing your experiences on a particular product or industry, your readers come to realize that they can depend on your posts for their own information needs.  As such, you become an expert on it; as a consequence, more readers visit your site and more bloggers link to your blogs.  As companies and professional organizations notice the growth of your readership base, they may soon get in touch with you for advertising on your blog page, or make you an affiliate, which pays for every referral generated from your blog site.
     
  5. Blogging builds your market.  Unless we are a famous in a domain, chances are, we will only have a limited circle of friends reading our blog. Look into the following ways to build your market through blogging
  • By using your e-mail.  Today, blogging is overcoming the e-mail’s popularity in quickly and effectively reaching and expanding a market.  In this age of speed and quick access, logging in and downloading e-mail is simply taking longer than clicking into a blog site.  Let them explore your site by using a short e-mail message as teaser to your blog site.  If your e-mail is on an entirely different subject, use your e-mail signature to give a link to the site.
  • By using subscription.  An easy way to get your readers e-mail is to give them an opportunity to subscribe to your blogsite. Keep some exclusive information for your subscribers to entice readers to subscribe and give their e-mail address.  Just be responsible in using their e-mail address, as the last thing you want is a comment on your blog that you are a spammer.
  • By understanding your readers.  Conduct a simple survey for your readers to understand their profile and advertising preferences.  Ask consumers to give you feedback on a post, an ad link, or a trial that you shared.  In this way, it is like interviewing your readers without the commitment and intrusion of a face-to-face interview.
  • By joining a blog network –A network of blogs maybe a collection of blog sites that share the same industry, interest, readership base, payment mode, etc.  Consumers find credibility and convenience in clicking one link to several real bloggers about a single subject.  Clearly, more bloggers are better than one.
  • By using RSS. RSS is the fastest growing technology on the Internet today.  As such, having RSS feeds to your blog is definitely another means of generating awareness for your readership base.  Having a variety of feeds can add interest to your blog site.

The truth behind affiliate marketing is the fact that  90% of affiliates will actually make less than $100 a month. Therefore, you shouldn't count on making full time income unless you can get very good at the following:
 
 
  1. Building a good web site that converts. Good content contributes to Good website.
  2. Search engine optimization.  You'll need a lot of traffic, as maybe 1 out of 200 visitors will buy your products. SEO can help you get your site in the search engines so more people will be able to find you.
  3. The trial and error of picking the right merchants and learning the correct ways to promote them.

To be successfully in marketing any business online. We need to be extremely focus on what we need to do. Internet is a place which will flood you with information, you will be overwhelm with offers and proposal and it can easily devert you from what you are suppose to focus on each day.
 
One of an effective ways is to set a daily marketing plan and stick to it, without having any external interference.  Discpline is the key and focus on what you believe that can bring you success.
 
If you can have 60mins each day to focus on what you have to do, you will see results pretty soon.
Here is what I do to share with you how i make use of 60minutes a day…on my Internet Marketing.
 
1. Adding Friends in Social Media
Facebook is my key focus internet marketing platform. Beside that i use twitter. Add friends that in your market or business. I add 20 friends each day in Facebook and Twitter.  This will take you 10mins to do so.
 
2. Social Network
Now, you have New friends, Network with them, Choose 3-5 friends to network with. Send email to them or Chat with them about what you do.. In facebook, You could chat when your friends are online. Or Send a Welcome and Thank You email to their Facebook inbox. This is easily done, and should take less than 10 mins to email a new friends or existing friends whom you want to network with… Make the chat short, your objective is to let them know what you do and of course know what they do.
 
3. Make Creative Post to Facebook
Share your ideas about your business. Give Tips and Motivational Quotes. This will inspire your friends to Like what you have to share. Make 2-3 Post each day.  Also join Groups in facebook, Post and join discussion in there.  This will create a branding for yourself. Take 15mins to do this.
 
4. Email Your List
If you have a List, send email to your list, Give a New Piece of information or product launch and offer about a new business.   This will not take more than 5mins to do so. If you do not have a list, that is fine, skip this.
 
5. Blogging
I spend the next 30mins to write a blog to share something new, Tips and ideas about how people can improve on their development success or Internet marketing tips. You can blog anything about your topic of interest related to your business, write a 250 words blog and share it to your Facebook friends…
 
Once you meet your 60mins plan, and achieve your 100% objective, the rest of time is up to you to do whatever you want.
 
If you do not have 60minuts a Day, how about 45mins or 30mins. It's all time management and self discipline.

Firstly, let's take a step back and review why you need a Page and Why people would want to like your page. There are 2 reasons, a Page give you Branding. This is one of the basic way which you could do. Click on the "Suggest To Friends" feature on the Fan Page to invite your personal profile friends. This method may not be an effective ways, because those friends in your profile page may not necessarily be your target visitors. And there is a limitation on the number of page individual facebook user can Like up to a maximum of 500 page. Beyond this limit may not be possible unless facebook change the guideline. Although Suggest a friend is a striaght forward process, but not as recommended.
 
2. Add a Fan Page widget Into Your website or Blog
You could embed your fan page widget into your personal website or blog using Facebook Social Plugin.  The Fan page social widget is one of the effective way, as visitors visit your website or blog, and if they like your contents, just have to push the "Like" button on the Social widget.
 
3. Advertise on Facebook Ads
Advertise your fan page in Facebook Ads to increase fan base. This is not a free method, but is one of the most targeted ways to find friends who have real interest in your professional services or products. You could select your target region/country and age groups. This method of increasing fan base is highly recommended, although there is cost involve, but will immensely increase your fans.
 
4. Add to Signature in Your Email
Use your email signature to add a link back to your facebook fan page. 6. Post a Link on Facebook Wall.
Each time you make a post to your wall. Add your Fanpage link at the back of your post using the @ Tag. After finishing your message on your wall, simple add "@fanpage_username" and drop down menu will appear where you could select your fan page. Use this method selectively.
 
7. Use The Share Button
The share button is located on the bottom left column of your fan page. Each time you make a new post in your fan page, click the "Share" button to share with your friends in your personal profile.
 
8. Link to Twitter
Share whatever you post in Fan page to Twitter. This will automatically post your facebook fan page content into your twitter account. Facebook will automatically truncate your long message to 140 characters and add a bit.ly link back to your page. Add this to link your page to your twitter account. 
 
9. Create a badge button
Install a HTML profile  on your facebook profile page and embed the badget  to your profile wall tab. You could also embed the badget into your blog or website.

10. Add to Skype
Add a fanpage link on your SKYPE profile page.  When you add friends in SKYPE, People will offen like to see what you have on your fan page and that could potentially be your new fans.

You could also go into other fan page or groups and make a comment or post which link back to your fan page using @ Tag. This is one way to attact new fans, but again, use selectively.
 
12. Add To Your Articles or Free Giveaway
When writing your articles or giving away freebies to your subscribers. Add a fan page link at the Bios of your articles or freebies. Article is an effective way to increase your visibility to your fan page for brand creation.
