Leaders are Made, NOT born!. Ever since Joining the network Marketing industry has make me realised how important it is in building and maintaining a strong cohesive team whom can work, grow and progress with you to achieve long term success…

As a leader in any network marketing business, keeping your team or downlines are key challenges.  Three  Key challenges faced by network marketing leaders nowsaday are:

  1. Team members are not engaged and leave the business not long after joining
  2. A Non-productive team, Team not able to generate results or produce any sales.
  3. Lack of knowledge or system to provide and support the team growth

To have a highly engaged and productive team, first we need to know and understand the reasons why people join us. People join a network marketing business is not only because of business itself that can create success and make extra income, but because of who they will work with… If we are not prepared or are not equipped with the best of what a leader can be, in no time, the team will not grow and likewise business.

As a Leader to successfully lead a team of marketers, we need to continuously learn new system, new technology and process to educate and train our members. Its about YOU as a Leader in providing value, mentorship and coaching to build up the competency of your team to further grow your network marketing empire…

This may sound too complicated and time consuming, but its not hard to turn into a successful leader fast. if you really know what you need to do..  I have been leading downlines, people for many years.. Here is what i can share.

    Give Your team a vision and direction on where you want them to go to create success. What strategy do you have?
  2. 1×1 Communication
    Have a weekly communicate with individual. 1×1 call or meeting with individual will help to enhance relation and to further understand issues and concern. If you have a group of 100 or more members how can you possibly have a 1×1 meeting. Here is the tips, meet those that you can directly influence or your direct reporting. Each meeting should spend a max of 45mins.
  3. Leveraging on System and Tools
    Provide your team with system or tools which they could leverage to grow the business further. Leverage on Internet Tools such as social media to grow network marketing business.
  4. Share Best practise
    Organise Team meeting to share best practices. Learn from each others…
  5. Training
    This is a must, be it product, services or system training.
  6. Take Action
    Walk the Talk. Take action and lead by example. Do and be committed.
  7. Mentorship Program
    Identify potential future leaders to be mentor for people within the team who are lagging behind. If you are following this key principle to build your team, be it in an organisation or a networking business, you will emerge yourself as a leader in your industry..

Is Social Network Marketing the way to go to build an Online Business…..?

Digg.. have been gaining traction recently, and more and more business owners or internet marketers and network marketers are ultilising this high touch social media to advertise their business. Facebook alone has more than 300 Million registered members. And to many Internet Marketers , it a gold-mine..

No doubt, it has been one of the best way for business owners to get their business across to the large groups of population and also one of the best methods of advertising, simply because its Free.

However, there are drawback in social media marketing. If you are not careful, you may get banned or
people will get annoyed by your continuous pitching.. Social media marketing takes time, you will not be able to see results overnight, with consistency and advanced marketing tactic used, you can make great success as well in the long run…

Before you jump into social network portal as a marketing platform,  these are what you need to know:

  1. You need to know why people join social networking? What is their purpose and why?
  2. You need to know how to position yourself, before adding friends with this group of people.
  3. You need to know the background of your friends or New friends before you start to talk about your business…

There are many useful social media Techniques which you could adopt, the most basic is to offer some great information on a specific topics of interest. Some people have alots of friends in their social network portal, but they do not know how to connect with this people even they are added into their list. Connect with people whom you are comfortable or you feel you want to know him/her better, go through their profile before adding them. You might not want to add someone who do not even show a picture of herself/ himeself. That shows they are not an active member of that social media.

The basic and most important step is to chat with your newly added friends, send a ‘Hello’ message or email to break the ice. Chat with them if they are online… Do not offer your business on your first encounter, i got many of this, and i simply get annoyed!

Social media is also a good way to add friends who are interested in your business. If visitors visited your website online, you could have a link to your social network profile and invite your visitors to add you as friends, this create another level of trust, and for the visitors to know you better, before they purchase or join your business…
